Gisele and Tom Have A Boy

December 9th, 2009

It’s football season, so I don’t mind putting some more news about football players.  Besides, my Bengals are 9-3 and the University of Cincinnati is 12-0.  If there were ever a year for me to stick out my chest a bit for my football teams, this is the year.  Yeah, we’re probably going to lose Brian Kelly to Notre Dame, but it was fun while it lasted.  Two Big East Championships.  I’ll take it.  But I digress.

Tom Brady, super popular and good looking quarterback of the New England Patriots had a baby boy with wife and super model Gisele Bundchen.  The new guy doesn’t have a name yet, but I’m sure in no time, he’ll be playing football in the back yard with dad.  Now, they have to get this little guy some baby blankets!

Interesting note on Tom Brady.  The guy has super success, Super Bowl championships and super models for wives and yet he is unsatisfied with life.  This interview gets pretty personal and is great.  I wish Tom would understand where this brokenness comes from.  Hopefully, he’s not looking for fulfillment in sports games, supermodels or children.

Kiss Da Baby

Hey, it’s football season, and I need to share a little love for my Bengals.  By the way, in case you haven’t heard, we’re 3-1, tied for first in the AFC North.  Every week has been about a heart attack, but we’re getting it done.  With some late quarter and overtime heroics, the Bengals have this fan believing once again.  It appears that we have some winners on the team because in the past, the Bungles would find ways to lose games.

Among the ranks of the most interesting players on the team is of course Chad Ochocinco.  Number 85 came up with a catch phrase in the offseason, “kiss da baby.”  What does it mean?  Well, he tells you in this clip from HBO’s hard knocks.  Basically, “kiss da baby” means it’s all over.  As Andre Whitworth said, “don’t line up against me because it’s over.”  Here’s a youtube clip that shows the ever entertaining Chad ‘Esteban’ Ochocinco.  NOTE.  Strong language.

Ha!  That guy cracks me up.  As long as he keeps catching touchdowns, he can talk as much as he wants in my book.

Shaun Alexanders Baby Girl

Shaun Alexander's Baby Girl

Now, onto another NFL star who has some baby language.  My all time favorite NFL player is Shaun Alexander, and back when he was a touchdown machine, he was also busy becoming a father with his beautiful wife.  A few of my favorite touchdown celebrations of all time were his “rock the baby” and “burp the baby” (seen at 1:41 below).

Ok, so not exactly top discussion on baby blankets tonight, but hey, one of those little babies out there might become an NFL star.  So tonight, as you tuck in your little one, make sure you “kiss da baby.”
