Update From the Owners

Well, it’s been a while since we’ve made any personal updates on the blog, so I thought I’d take a moment to share with our BlanketMyBaby.com fans a little bit about what’s going on with us.

In the past, you’ve seen plenty of pictures of our first son, Emil.  He is doing wonderful and is the absolute joy of our life.  This past weekend, we took a trip up to Chicago.  Here’s a picture of Emil playing at Oak Street Beach.

He had an absolute blast!  It wasn’t technically his first beach, but the first beach he got to play in the waves in for a bit.  Emil seems to be learning new words every day.  He absolutely loves Elmo.  Though, Mickey Mouse has made a strong surge of late.  He can sing “Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggity dog!” with the best of them.  Emil will be turning 2 in September, and he is growing up so fast.  That’s good, because he has to learn how to be a big brother!

We are expecting our second child in late July.  I can’t believe we haven’t posted that yet on the blog, but it’s been a crazy few months.  We feel tremendously blessed to have another child on the way.  The psalmist puts it this way in Psalm 127:

3Children are a heritage from the Lord,
offspring a reward from him.
⁴ Like arrows in the hands of a warrior
are children born in one’s youth.
⁵ Blessed is the man
whose quiver is full of them.
They will not be put to shame
when they contend with their opponents in court.

Amen!  We cannot wait to meet this second blessing!  Just like our first birth, we are going to be surprised on the gender of the baby.  Both Mom and Dad like waiting.  The only problem is that we have to pick out two names, which does not seem to be an easy task for us.  One thing we know is that this baby will have plenty of love from his family, and just like Emil, plenty of baby blankets too!

BlanketMyBaby.com continues to be a joy for us to own.  We love that we can provide quality gifts and share a bit in the celebration of babies with moms all over the country and even the world!  This last year, we’ve worked to improve our personalized blanket selection because we consistently get feedback that our customers love to personalize their gifts.  We agree that they make wonderful baby gifts.
