Family Photos

August 21st, 2009

When you are at a friend’s house for the first time, one of the first things you always do is look at the family pictures.  The hallways, staircases or fireplaces of family photos remind us of who we are and where we’ve been.  Family photos tell a story that you may or may not get from your friends.  They also can bring up fond memories.

There are a few characteristics that you can count on in a family photo - big hair, outdated fashion and baby blankets.  It’s always fun to laugh at what we used to think was cool.  ”Why did I part my hair down the middle?”  ”Why did I ever let my wife talk me into getting a perm?”  ”Is that a porn mustache?”  Outrageous!  But among the craziness, there are usually baby pictures - lots and lots of baby pictures.  And what is the most common item in those pictures besides a smiling baby?  Usually, a baby blanket!  So think about it.  If you’re giving a baby blanket as a gift, that gift may be plastered on a wall for 20, 30, or 40 years somewhere.  Doesn’t that make you think twice before you buy a gift?  Maybe you don’t think it’s a big deal.  But if you don’t believe me, go check your wall of family photos right now.  See if there isn’t a security blanket being held onto by one of your little ones.

Personalized Baby Blankets - Ultimate Puppy Girl Luxury Blanket

March 25th, 2009

It seems that so many parents and gift givers are looking for the perfect baby blanket for a newborn.  Shopping at baby boutiques can be expensive and stores like Babys R Us don’t have unique baby blankets.  So, online shopping is the way to go.

In order to give a truly unique gift, a lot of shoppers turn to personalized baby blankets to send a special message.  Over the next few posts, I’d like to present some fantastic products of personalized and embroidered baby blankets.  Giving this blanket as a gift shows that you have gone the extra mile to show you care.

First up is the Ultimate Puppy Girl Luxury Blanket.  The price is a bit more than average at $139.95, but this truly is a luxury blanket.  The fabric is an extra thick fluffy microfibre.  It has a brown ruffle on the edges for little girls and a taggie blue dot fringe for boys.  The adorable puppy on the front lets you know right away that this blanket is going to be your little girl’s best friend.  You can pamper her with this extremely cozy blanket and place a personalized name on it, up to 8 letters.

The blanket is large, 34″ x 40″, so as your baby grows, it can even transfer over to their bed.  In fact, many testimonials of this blanket say how it has helped kids transition to their beds when it is time.

If you are looking for a super cozy, personalized blanket for a gift, this ultimate blanket would be a great choice.
